Happy New Year! Here’s to an abundant and successful 2017 for all!
This above image I created in December for the SCBWI postcard contest. It didn’t win but I still had a lot of fun creating it. Who says penguins can’t fly?
January 1st also marks the first day of Storystorm by Tara Lazar, which replaces the previous PiBoIdMo challenge where we come up with one picture book idea for everyday of the month. It’s a fun challenge, and a way to really get those creative juices flowing! I really like that the dates changed from November to January, as January feels so fresh and it’s a great way to jump back into our work following the holidays.

I have been busy at work with my comic strip Galactic Dragons, as well as revising a previous logo that I crated for a friend’s business (it was done so long ago, it needed updating!). I’m still working on revising picture book manuscripts as well as designing new illustrations.
